Could we maybe do something like below? (Or simply replace the if-statement above the edited lines that is already present.) That way, the user won't see the dummy form.

if "pp_run_results" not in state:
    return state

we already have this in the line above this newly added code like this:

    if "pp_run_results" not in state:
        # FIXME: dirty hack that makes the skipping """work"""
        return {"pp_did_succeed": True}

and even user dosnt see the form!
