Get entities via MDQ or from eduGAIN Entities database?
[Not an issue, just an idea.]
Looking at README-SPS-METADATA.md I wonder whether the use of pyff and the downloading all of eduGAIN each time isn't a bit of overkill to get the metadata for two entities? Nowadays you could also get those simply via cURL (or Python's request
in realtime every time you need that metadata) by using e.g. the UKFederation's or IDEM's MDQ Service -- that metadata could also be verified against the published certificate:

- https://mdx.idem.garr.it/edugain/entities/https:%2F%2Fsp-demo.idem.garr.it%2Fshibboleth
If security solely via TLS suffices for this kind of test service you could even get the metadata for those entities straight from the eduGAIN entities database (provided you hard-code their internal row_id
